About Us
Your Child Is in Great Hands
Our Story
We have been serving families in Essex County for the past 7 years, we have established ourselves as a trusted childcare program in the community. Originally located in East Orange, we relocated to Irvington three years ago. Bringing our expertise and passion for early childhood education to this vibrant neighborhood.
We are dedicated to creating a warm and nurturing environment where children can thrive. We understand that each child is unique and has their own individual needs and interests. That is why we strive to provide personalized care and attention to every child under our care.
We believe in the power of open communication and collaboration with parents. We value the trust that families place in us and strive to maintain strong partnerships with parents, keeping them involved in their child's progress and development. At our home daycare, we prioritize the safety, well-being, and happiness of every child. We are excited to embark on this new chapter in Irvington and look forward to welcoming your child into our loving and educational environment.

Philosophy
At LEA we believe in fostering independence, preparing children for kindergarten, and nurturing their learning journey while instilling strong values and morals.
Independence: We strive to create an environment that encourages children to explore, make choices, and develop their own unique identities. We provide opportunities for them to practice self-help skills, problem-solving, and decision-making, empowering them to become confident and independent individuals.
Kindergarten Readiness: We understand the importance of preparing children for the transition to kindergarten. We incorporate age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote early literacy, numeracy, and cognitive development. Through play-based learning, we focus on developing their social skills, fine and gross motor skills, and fostering a love for learning.
Learning: We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and engaging activities. We provide a variety of materials and resources that support their curiosity and encourage exploration. Our daily routines include structured and unstructured play, circle time, story-time, arts and crafts, and outdoor play, all designed to stimulate their intellectual growth and curiosity.
Values and Morals: We recognize the importance of teaching children values and morals from an early age. We promote kindness, respect and empathy in all aspects of our daycare. We encourage positive interactions, teach conflict resolution skills, and model appropriate behavior to help children develop strong moral compasses and become compassionate individuals.
At Little Essence Academy we strive to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's overall development. We believe in partnering with parents to provide the best possible care and education for their children, laying a strong foundation for their future success.
